Life is Good
Friday, June 16, 2006, 05:09 PM - blogFoo
During my morning sip, I was reading a Norwegian study that coffee is good for you. The warm creamy goodness in my mug cofirms that. But it got me to thinking about all the news I've read lateley. Like how my beloved Tabasco kills prostate cancer. And how Red wine also helps prevent prostate cancer and helps combat deafness. We've also been treated to studies that show that Beer and Pizza could help prevent Cancer, and that mild alcohol intake can significantly reduce the risk for heart disease in men and is associated with better mental function in older women.

But, back to my "Comfort in a Cup". It turns out that Coffee will counteract all that Beer, Wine, and Pizza by cuting alcohol liver damage and being good for my heart. I was also shocked to learn that it can even shield from me from radiation. Forget SDI, I propose the Coffee Defense Initiative!

I always fancied myself as being somewhat open-minded, but it turns out that may just be the Coffee. I'd better be careful with my coffee when telemarketers call since apparently coffee makes you more easily persuaded.

The biggest surprise was that caffeine may boost the female sex drive. Hmmm. Really. And you say coffee makes us more likely to say 'yes'? Hmmmmmm. I gotta go now, and make my wife the perfect cafe au lait.

ARG: 6 - SCG: 0

Let me redefine dominated. Argentina rolled over Serbia & Montenegro like the incoming tide -- and just as relentlessly. SCG lost Kezman at 65' and that sealed it for them. Argentina got 3 more before the last whistle . The ref unexplainably added 1 minute stoppage, whereupon the players just started knocking the ball around. after 15 seconds of that he blew the final out of common sense.

On another note, next Wednesday will be the last chance to see SCG play, since Montenegro won their independance and will play seperatly next time.

Not as strong a showing as I'd hoped for from Germany. Poland will have to be Houdini to escape from the bottom of group H now; 2 losses and 0 goals scored.

UPDATE: Houdini was Italian.
